In 2009, Seremban Gospel Chapel launched the Student\u2019s Learning and Support Programme (SLS),a ministry born out of a deep desire to serve children in our community through holistic care and education. What began with a few small classrooms, a team of committed church volunteers, and a handful of neighborhood children has, by God\u2019s grace, grown significantly over the past 16 years.<\/p>

Today, SLS supports more than 150 students across three centers in Seremban, Rasah Jaya, and Seremban 2. Many of these children come from underprivileged homes, where parents may be separated or burdened by financial struggles, making access to quality childcare and education difficult. SLS offers affordable, and often subsidized, support tailored to each family’s financial situation<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

We welcome students from both\u00a0primary and secondary schools across\u00a0Seremban. At SLS, we offer more than\u00a0just academic support, where our\u00a0program includes daily\u00a0 transportation, nutritious\u00a0<\/p>

meals,\u00a0homework supervision, and additional tuition. But\u00a0our mission goes beyond academics.\u00a0We are deeply committed to nurturing\u00a0character and essential life skills. In a\u00a0world filled with digital distractions, we\u00a0guide students toward healthy routines and\u00a0personal\u00a0responsibility,\u00a0<\/p>

encouraging them to clean up after\u00a0meals, wash dishes, and even cook\u00a0simple meals like rice. Beyond the classroom, we create opportunities for\u00a0growth through outings, camps, and educational seminars that enrich both the mind and soul.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Boosting Student Focus and Comprehension with Technology<\/strong><\/p>

For our secondary school students, we offer multimedia tuition classes in Bahasa Malaysia, English,<\/p>

Mathematics, Science, and History. Each student is provided with access to a donated computer,<\/p>

enabling them to engage in interactive, technology-enhanced learning. This approach has proven<\/p>

highly effective, with many students demonstrating significant improvement in both academic<\/p>

performance and self-confidence.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Guiding Young Hearts: Sex Education from a Christian Perspective<\/b><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"\"\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In October 2024, we held a special talk on sex\u00a0education for children and teens. The session was\u00a0led by Mr. Tan, a seasoned counsellor from our\u00a0church with over 20 years of experience in marriage,<\/p>

family, and sex education. Delivered in a fun and relaxed atmosphere, the session welcomed both students and their parents, with around 60 people attending the talk.<\/p>

Christmas Carnival <\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

In December 2024, our students participated in a vibrant Christmas carnival in Lobak, Seremban.<\/p>

This joint celebration brought together churches from the area to rejoice in Christ\u2019s birth and raise<\/p>

funds for the poor. Our students shared about SLS, giving personal testimonies of how the program<\/p>

has touched and transformed their lives<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

STEM Carnival <\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

More recently, in early 2025, we hosted a STEM Carnival – our very own science camp. Dr. Khong, a<\/p>

Christian scientist known for his ability to address children\u2019s questions on science and faith, led the<\/p>

event. Through hands-on experiments and inspiring talks, students explored the wonders of God\u2019s<\/p>

creation. We welcomed around 50 children, including 5 from the Burmese refugee community that<\/p>

our church ministers to.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

is more than an educational initiative – it\u2019s a ministry of hope, transformation, and the love of Christ in<\/p>
